1. Purpose
Clue is designed to help individuals prepare for job interviews, practice answering questions, and build confidence. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines what you may and may not do when using the App.
2. Permitted Uses
- Using the App for personal interview preparation and practice.
- Using AI-generated answers as starting points that you review, adapt, and improve.
- Using the Practice / Mock Interview feature to rehearse for real interviews.
- Capturing screenshots of publicly visible content for AI analysis.
- Using the App during an interview as a personal cognitive aid, where permitted by the relevant platform or employer.
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Clue to:
- Cheat in employment assessments where use of external AI assistance is explicitly prohibited.
- Violate the terms of service of any online interview platform (e.g. HackerRank, Codility, TestGorilla).
- Record audio or video of other individuals without their knowledge or consent, where such recording is illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Share, resell, or grant access to your account to others.
- Circumvent usage limits, billing systems, or security controls.
- Use the App in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
- Submit harmful, offensive, or illegal content as input to the AI.
4. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content and for ensuring your use of the App complies with:
- The policies of any employer, recruiter, or assessment platform involved in your interview.
- Applicable laws in your jurisdiction regarding audio/video recording.
- Ethical standards relevant to your profession.
Clue provides a tool — the judgment of how and when to use it is entirely yours.
5. Stealth Mode Use
Stealth Mode hides the App window from screen-sharing software. You are responsible for ensuring this use is permitted in your specific interview context. We strongly recommend reviewing the terms of any assessment platform before enabling this feature in a live interview.
6. Enforcement
Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund. We reserve the right to cooperate with legal authorities if use of the App results in harm or illegal activity.
